After years of dreaming and months of hard looking, we finally found our 1993 Airstream travel trailer. That is right, we will be a big, Big, BIG silver object traveling down the road. For years we have plotted, planned, schemed and dreamed of how we could really travel with the kids. Both my husband and I are consultants (see Close Group, http://www.closegroup.org )and we created a grand plan four years ago that when in place would enable us to travel until we dropped. It has NOT been a smooth process. Everything has taken longer and was harder than we anticipated. The faltering economy shook us to the core. Meanwhile our kids keep getting older and who knows how much longer they will actually want to spend copious amounts of time with us.
How are you going to pay for this? We get asked this question a lot. We created WellMeals4U (an online meal planning and assembly system http://wellmeals4u.com) that "feeds" our passion for healthy food on a tight budget with even less time to spend at it. Our business consulting and teaching can occur anywhere, this is a huge bonus.
Then we created World4UAdventures. It is a place to post all the great stuff we learn and sites we see. Our hope is that learning comes to life for our kids, it will become a resource for your kids. If you know of great spots and resources, we want to know so we can feature it on World4UAdventures.com.
In a few short weeks we will be leaving for our first journey. . . to Ohio to pick up our Airstream and visit our family homestead. Until then, we will be busy launching the World4UAdventures website and getting the details of the trip worked out. More later. . .
